<span style="font-size: small;">I frog a lot. I am currently
frogging a granny stitch cocoon sweater I thought I would love but
didn´t really work out for me (it was too irregular). It will be a
bitch to frog all these little squares and it´s trying my patience.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;">I
have this sweater I frogged 4 times and finally on the 5th
go it finally worked out. I don´t really regret any of the
frogging, I think it´s better to frog something 4 times than have
something in my closet that doesn’t work for me.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;">So
I guess you can call me miss Frog :) </span>
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;">For
those who don´t know what frogging is, it´s a crochet and knitting
term for undoing something. It´s called frogging because you “rip
it” </span>

<span style="font-size: small;">Recently I finished to the
point shawl by Wilma Westenberg. Pattern <a href="https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/to-the-point-shawl-2" target="_blank">here</a></span></p><p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;"> </span></p><p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: small;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM7XpJ4Nx9DO159US03cHSYelX3h0Dyu8RC3sN9es1Bqx1B4DPzjyGapK_humCzjqZAUxicoFIzAI4sJWhJLMq4z55XW5NPpYp8kRWj7uZ3jGzPikWOgif3N3U-v6vt7xeSdvA29pk3EPA5fA99GwU64Xilvwdv8QVuSarcU0HN7eI10caqUSW-xwthUU/s4640/IMG_20240227_164522.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3472" data-original-width="4640" height="239" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM7XpJ4Nx9DO159US03cHSYelX3h0Dyu8RC3sN9es1Bqx1B4DPzjyGapK_humCzjqZAUxicoFIzAI4sJWhJLMq4z55XW5NPpYp8kRWj7uZ3jGzPikWOgif3N3U-v6vt7xeSdvA29pk3EPA5fA99GwU64Xilvwdv8QVuSarcU0HN7eI10caqUSW-xwthUU/s320/IMG_20240227_164522.jpg" width="320" /></a></span></div><span style="font-size: small;"><br /> <br /></span><p></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;">I
had made this shawl before out of wool but I am changing from wool to
cotton and other plantfibers because I have some sensory issues and I
can´t take the itchyness.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;">So
I made it out of Drops loves you nr. 7 (I think) and now I can enjoy
this beautiful shawl without constantly scratching myself.</span></p>

<span style="font-size: small;">I haven´t been on here for 3
years but I want to start blogging again. </span>
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;">So
I´ll start with a easy blog</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;">Watching
</span>
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;">Star
trek the next generation. This is one of my safety shows, always so
enjoyable to watch.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;">Listening
</span>
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;">I´ve
been listening to a lot of Joy division lately and some other post
punk/goth stuff.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;">Reading
</span>
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;">I
am reading my way through Terry Pratchett´s discworld again. I am
currently on book nr 7 Pyramids.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;">I
finished last month reading series The other´s by Anne Bishop. The
first book is called Written in red and I do recommend the whole
series if you like supernatural beings and found families.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;">I
am also reading my way through James Elroy´s La quartet I´m on book
2 the big nowhere at the moment. I´m not sure about these books, I
find the language incredibly shocking (racist, sexist and homophobic)
</span>
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;">All
these books are audiobooks but I´m also reading some ebook</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;">Steampunk
trilogy by Paul Di Filippo and The Carnelian crow by Coleen Gleason</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0in;"><span style="font-size: small;">Well
that´s enough for now.</span></p>

used to a lot of drawing and painting but haven´t picked it up in
about 10 years.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: small;">So
I bought some watercolors and I have painted one picture of lemons.
I decided to start painting fruits because they are simple then I´ll
maybe go into flowers.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: small;">I
haven´t used watercolors much before, I used to use acrylics but
decided to change it up. The watercolors are much softer and warmer
then the acrylics (and less messy)</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZqFoUqtWuQlBUIGVw35xwarGeKGO3lb5_sgRKmvJKJvJzI0w-7odFMo_5FYKvEe0H3-HNR4aFmCpiaOjSTPZXV6wc8HwORLI2Zx4rrRX-B7kR64a8JWPwzr-HfYPbn9PHALDEcHaXtc4/s4160/IMG_20201111_171416330.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2340" data-original-width="4160" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZqFoUqtWuQlBUIGVw35xwarGeKGO3lb5_sgRKmvJKJvJzI0w-7odFMo_5FYKvEe0H3-HNR4aFmCpiaOjSTPZXV6wc8HwORLI2Zx4rrRX-B7kR64a8JWPwzr-HfYPbn9PHALDEcHaXtc4/s320/IMG_20201111_171416330.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><br /></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">So
I´m pretty happy with my picture and I´m glad I took a picture of
it with my phone before my bunny bit one of the corners (he´s so
bad)</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: small;">I
also want to pick up drawing again, I want to start doing some easy
going doodleling.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><br />
</p>Hjördíshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14551079624872168379noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2501009992944941266.post-8822855201824935272020-11-01T20:59:00.004+00:002020-11-01T20:59:26.567+00:00Listen, watch, read<p> <span style="font-size: 14pt;">Listen:
Kæla mikla. An ecxellent coldwave band from Iceland. I have been
listening to them on replay this whole fall.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Watch:
Black lagoon on Netflix. It´s about a bunch of modern day pirates
living on a island that is morally lacking. It´s fast paced and
loud. It reminds me somewhat of Quentin Tarantino and John Woo.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Reading:
The legend of Sleepy Hollow by Irving Washington. For my bookclub I
read the legend of sleepy hollow. I had seen the movie many years
ago and the book is nothing like the movie. In the book Ichabod
Crane is sort of unfortunate looking and (spoilers) it doesn´t end
very well for him. It was a fun and short read and now I want to
read something more by Irving Washington.</span></p>Hjördíshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14551079624872168379noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2501009992944941266.post-46074942098872864462020-10-18T21:11:00.002+00:002020-10-18T21:11:26.390+00:00The silent vloggers <p> </p><p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">So my newest obsession are the
silent vloggers on youtube. They who I watch are from Korea, Japan
and one from China.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: medium;">In
these videos wich are mostly made by women, they do things like cook,
bake, craft, garden and snuggle their pets under calming music,
without idle chatter. </span>
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It´s
very relaxing watching these videos and a nice change from the overly
peppy and in your face vloggers that can be quite annoying.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I
really think everybody needs something calming in these covid times.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Here
are some of my favorite silent vloggers</span></p>

<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: small;">So
in august I got a pet bunny. I have wanted a pet for a long time but
always lived somewhere with a no pet polacy.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: small;">His
name is Kormákur and he´s two years old.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: small;">He´s
a bit naughty chewing on things like electric cables so I have to get
his some sticks and branches.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: small;">He´s
very cuddly but he doesn´t want to be held.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: small;">He
often sits next to me and pokes my hand for me to pet him. </span>
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: small;">He
also poke me in the butt when I´m sleeping, trying to wake me up and
feed him I guess. I think that´s hilarious.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: small;">I
hope we can be together for a long time, I like his personality alot
and I live alone so it´s nice to come home to somebody.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh7_eDiOTzBsigtWeCQwrZ8buW0wl4Ni_w5HUYJ46fSFeVGKv71Yt0zh_V7CQyu7WVZSycDvHc8fMUL5ev6i2UXc3zqGqg9Kce6IOWQxZux3-3UnNQmj2Vv1gTVQG6Zy_rYALSDUVSRVI/s4160/IMG_20200828_225432394.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2340" data-original-width="4160" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh7_eDiOTzBsigtWeCQwrZ8buW0wl4Ni_w5HUYJ46fSFeVGKv71Yt0zh_V7CQyu7WVZSycDvHc8fMUL5ev6i2UXc3zqGqg9Kce6IOWQxZux3-3UnNQmj2Vv1gTVQG6Zy_rYALSDUVSRVI/s320/IMG_20200828_225432394.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />Hjördíshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14551079624872168379noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2501009992944941266.post-15184972574913394392020-10-04T12:36:00.001+00:002020-10-04T12:36:28.511+00:00I joined a book club <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">I

<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: small;">It´s

children´s books.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: small;">This

<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: medium;">So
I crochet one more pair of socks. You can never have too many pairs
of handmade socks and I wear them all year around.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I
have noticed that my crochet socks don´t get as many holes as the
knit ones wich is good because fixing holes is so boring.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><br />
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The
only thing I don´t like about these socks is the ribbing, it´s too
loose. </span>
</p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I´m
thinking of starting knitting the ribbing for my crochet clothes.</span></p>
<p style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I
usually crochet front post/back post ribbing and it can be kind of
loose and dosn´t do that thing it´s supposed to, to stretch and
retract.</span></p>

It took about a week to get used to it, first I was quite sore.<br />In the last 4 years I´ve moved 4 times (only once by choice) so getting rid of furniture has helped me a lot.<br /><br />Last thing I sold was two matresses I bought 2 months ago that didn´t really work for me, they were two bulky and cumbersome. I really like sleeping on my yoga mat (let´s be honest here; they were mostly unused)<br />I lay my yoga mat on my rug, put a folded blanket and sheet next then my pillow and duvet. <br />It´s really comfy.<br />I also am getting rid of a coffie table that is to high for me since I always sit on floor cushions.<br /><br />This living without furniture has made my life much easier. <br />I now rent a 20 square meter (200 square feet) appartment and it doesn´t feel cluttered.<br />Also cleaning takes very little time.<br /><br />My mother has asked me what I´m going to let my guests sit on. My friends who have visited me haven´t complained, I think sitting on pillows on the floor for about hour or two (or longer) isn´t going to kill people. I mean I don´t find sitting on regular chairs very comfy, I get stiff and my knees hurt but it doesn´t kill me.<br /><br />I would defenetly recomend sitting on the floor on a pillow, your ass will be sore at first but you´ll get used to it. Same goes for sleeping on the floor.Hjördíshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14551079624872168379noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2501009992944941266.post-87515316952386974892019-06-05T15:06:00.002+00:002019-06-20T00:47:48.914+00:00Getting back into riding my bike<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">So
I moved sunday and started riding my bike again and I´m really out
of shape. I haven´t ridden my bike very much when I lived in the
other town so I need to work up some stamina.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I
also have to admit to myself that this town is just as windy as the
other one if not windier, the only diffirence is that now I don´t
have to deal both with wind and crazy hills.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">Unrelated
to the biking, the move went well. My parents and nephew helped me
move and we made it in one trip with two cars and a small trailer,
being a minimalist sure does make things simpler. </span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I´ve
already been to the social activity for the disabled yesterday but I
did miss the library knitting group monday (time mixup, my mistake)
and I am already liking it here.</span></div>
Hjördíshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14551079624872168379noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2501009992944941266.post-49577062370776851612019-05-26T23:34:00.000+00:002019-05-26T23:34:07.354+00:00Moving<br />
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: 14pt;">Well
so I´m moving to another town in about a week.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I
fortunately saw an ad for the appartment and jumped on it and I was
lucky, I got it.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">It´s
a very good thing about minimalism is much simpler to move.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I´m
almost packed everything and I want to have to have the last week
here easy going so I´m going to try finish cleaning the apt. tomorrow.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I´ve
lived before in my new town and I liked it very much. It´s called
Akranes and it´s so flat my friend calls it little Denmark.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">So
it won´t be as hard to ride my bicycle as in the town I live now,
called Borgarnes. It extremely hilly. </span>
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I
will miss the people I got to know in my little town, I knew only one
person when I moved here so I started to volunteer at the Red cross
both because I always wanted to do so and to get to know more people
here. I also started going to the weekly craftnight at my town´s
yarn store and got to know some more people. Last fall I started
going to a social activity for the disabled and elderly where people
can craft or play cards (mostly whist).</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I
do look forward to the social activity for the disabled, montly
craftnights at the local yarnstore (I wish they were weekly) and Red
cross volunteering in my new town.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />

<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: 14pt;">So
about two years ago I started my minimalist journey, I got rid of
more then half of my possessions (much of them had been in my
basement for years)</span></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Minimalism
has made my life much easier, it is quite a handy tool to get rid of
distractions and to take a more realistic look at one self.</span></span></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">It
is a long term thing minimalism and I am still figuring things out,
for example my newest purging has been in my kitchen cupboards. I
have stopped shopping for things I think I should be eating just
because it´s healthy and would be good for me. </span></span></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I hate quinoa and I
have been buying it because I think I should and it has stayed in my
cupboard untouched. This has also sparked questions in me about
superfoods and not falling for advertising. So I having whittled
down my cupboards quite a bit. I don´t need to have many types of
pasta or rice, one or two will do fine.</span></span></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Looking
through my cupboard is much easier and now I just need to buy some
baskets to organize them wich is much better doing after getting rid
of stuff then before</span></span></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-family: Times New Roman, serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I
would like to write more about minimalism in the future it´s such a
interesting topic</span></span></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Summer
favorites</span></span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">We
had a rather disappointing summer weatherwise but hey I live in
Iceland and wasn´t really expecting anything but there have been a
few glimpses of sunlight that have been great. </span></span></span>
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Now
my favorite season is on it´s way and I look forward to candles, hot
beverages, wool socks and warm blankets and just living the most cozy
life possible.</span></span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">But
for this season that is ending I have some favorites in books, film,
tv and more.</span></span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><b>Books</b>
</span></span></span>
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Elinor
Olyphant is comepletely fine by Gail Honeyman.</span></span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">This
one really surprised me. A book about lonelyness, kindness and human
bonding and it filled me with hope in humanity while also being about
cruelty and violence. It leaves a lot behind and I really loved it
and can´t wait to read it again.</span></span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Shipping
news by Annie Proulx. For the longest time I have been on my way to
read this book and finally did. I like reading about little
communities and the one in this book was very interesting. The main
caracter Quoyle had my simpathy from the beginning but I never felt
like it was forced on me, I just find him very amicable. </span></span></span>
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><b>Television</b></span></span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Miss
Fisher´s murder mysteries.</span></span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I
have watched this so often I lost count. I love it that much and I
watched again this summer. The show is about the fearless and
fabulous Phryne Fisher who doesn´t know what to do with herself so
she becomes a private detective wich isn´t so easy in the 1920´s.
I find the story interesting and the caracters fun to watch, I find
the female caracters to be very strong each in their way.
Australians sure know how to make good tv and look foreward to seeing
the movie (I hope it comes on Netflix)</span></span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Outlander.</span></span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">So
for a while now I´ve had this problem with tv shows that are overly
dramatic and conflicted (I think I might be one of this highly
sensitive people)</span></span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">So
first when I started watching Outlander I stopped because I thought
it might be to scary but the girls in my vkn told me not to worry.
It takes a little time to get into but I quite liked it. I also like
it is loyal to history and learning more about Scotland is fun. </span></span></span>
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I
took a little break but mostly I have a bad case of Neflixitis and
like to switch between shows.</span></span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">So
really I´m currently watching Outlander, mind of a chef, Star Trek
the next generation, Gilmore girls and Brooklyn 9-9 and now I feel
like a millennial, I´m 43.</span></span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><b>Yarn</b></span></span></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Drops
Flora. I really like this yarn it´s a blend of wool and alpakka and
so soft.</span></span></span></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I
did frog a half knitted sweater the other day and it has one good
thing about it, I actually look forward to using the yarn again, I
even found quite beautiful pattern so my fingers are itching.</span></span></span></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><b>Podcasts</b></span></span></span></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Inside
nr. 23</span></span></span></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I´m
so glad this podcast returned after a long break recently. </span></span></span>
</div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">The
podcaster Kate is british knitter and I really love her podcast.
Thought I am mostly a crocheter I enjoy watching a few knitting
podcasts, hers is so interesting in many ways so she has my attention
the whole time ( no zoning out)</span></span></span></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><b>Music</b>
</span></span></span>
</div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Marie
Sioux. I actually heard her song Wizard flurry home as a intro song
on the Gentle knitters podcast and really fell for it. At the moment
I am very much into folk music (including nordic folk), it´s very
soothing and satisfying. I do love her lyrics and singing style.</span></span></span></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><b>Hairstyling</b></span></span></span></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">So
I decided to get a undercut about a month ago. I have very thick
hair and it´s dreadful in summer (yes even Icelandic summer), it
gets so heavy I can´t have it long and I´m totally unable to use
regular hair accessories like a hair clamp. So my friend has
clippers and she wanted to learn how to use them for her son. She
did pretty good for a first time and I feel so relieved and light.
It can look totally normal when it´s down, it still has some heft to
it and if I´m very hot I can put it in a ponytail. </span></span></span>
</div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">I
even want to try put curls in my hair sometimes (I really want to get
into 1930´s style, I just don´t have anything that has the look
from the period yet and I find most vintage clothes way to expensive.
So it´s something I´m working on, I have some crochet patterns
lined up.</span></span></span></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">So
learning to do my hair in the meantime would be nice.</span></span></span></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="color: black;"><span style="font-family: "times new roman" , serif;"><span style="font-size: medium;">So
that´s it for now. </span></span></span>
</div>
<div style="font-weight: normal; line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: 14pt;">So
I´ve wanted to crochet a sweater for a while now and I was very
happy to find a pattern that is crochet in a round with raglan
increases because I really don´t like having many crochet parts I
have to sew together.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">The
pattern is very simple and well written and I´ve already started
crocheting another sweater for my friend´s son. I like the pattern
that much.</span></div>

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: 14pt;">So
my best friends birthday was coming up in may and she had told me
that she wanted some cozy socks like I had made for her son´s
birthday in january.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">His
socks were based on a pattern called tv socks that are a knit pattern
which has been very popular in Iceland since television got here in
the sixties.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">Unfortunately
the pattern is only in Icelandic.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2OYug3NNnBGgK3XmH-3V86Ql7W5bqEF1ivvMyqopFQFleoSa7jtr5dgNixxGq7icNDy9sMBHXwNDOLLZIbKgRI1ULqVbKnMuMxQFWw8QhUwGj2OdFFHkpb0sTl8lGkKJafDYGE3eUggk/s1600/IMG_20180218_131842170.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="900" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2OYug3NNnBGgK3XmH-3V86Ql7W5bqEF1ivvMyqopFQFleoSa7jtr5dgNixxGq7icNDy9sMBHXwNDOLLZIbKgRI1ULqVbKnMuMxQFWw8QhUwGj2OdFFHkpb0sTl8lGkKJafDYGE3eUggk/s320/IMG_20180218_131842170.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdfJ8Q0jtcqU1TXzUp5TgxreuwvP1YkRqVBNe6hEXKiRwVR3kcfVV1j11Z28L1sEcng5j-M08YWPn5S1L5ozfiG4xoQwrz5MF24YcP6bWVXS2DSUaGKF1JypxKq75MojjtnjFBnhTx44s/s1600/IMG_20180218_131828018.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="900" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdfJ8Q0jtcqU1TXzUp5TgxreuwvP1YkRqVBNe6hEXKiRwVR3kcfVV1j11Z28L1sEcng5j-M08YWPn5S1L5ozfiG4xoQwrz5MF24YcP6bWVXS2DSUaGKF1JypxKq75MojjtnjFBnhTx44s/s320/IMG_20180218_131828018.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">So
when it came to my friends socks I was running late her birthday was
almost here so I found socks that were very easy and I liked the
look of them.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">Here
is the <a href="https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/basic-slipper-socks-2">pattern</a></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I
decided to make the cuff longer then in the pattern</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I
used aran weight yarn, the one that come is the huge skein. </span>
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I
really liked the pattern, I find some crochet pattern way to
complicated with weird vocabulary.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I
also finally learned to make a front post back post ribbing and I
really like it. I don´t think I will be doing the other kind of
crochet ribbing again. I always found it annoying to make the
ribbing and trying to fit it to a garment.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">My
friend really liked them</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">So
I finally made a granny square blanket. </span>
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I
have made some for newborn babies of friends but never a one for
myself.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I
found a pattern called Drops bohemian oasis wich I liked. I´ve
never crocheted so complicated granny stitch and it came to me fast.
I really love this square pattern, I´m very much into boho chic.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiiViu7LxeFQEAElpS9NfpepOA8qu4DMkjElo4TMBU-K8pjgyDSmly20KYKdtl9gnp7H0CmhHfItND9FayBli6MTdB1SZ3OSMeC8Lz_8M8-n5KP0_R66IE3wCxZtjdmdlqX6Lbg1w00iE/s1600/IMG_20180330_143122045.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="900" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiiViu7LxeFQEAElpS9NfpepOA8qu4DMkjElo4TMBU-K8pjgyDSmly20KYKdtl9gnp7H0CmhHfItND9FayBli6MTdB1SZ3OSMeC8Lz_8M8-n5KP0_R66IE3wCxZtjdmdlqX6Lbg1w00iE/s320/IMG_20180330_143122045.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br /></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">It
took me a year to do it with some breaks because I got kind of bored
with it. I slipstitched the squares together wich I kind of regret,
I couldn´t figure out how they were put together according to the
pattern. Later I did see my mother do it and then I´d already
started putting it together.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeBknvkhvOzsCvSvnxTCZ3SaO1CoxgHTs0eH9Y_bA3tOhroKrgFs2fuew-RJ_gdcuOmM6aLFXINZ4PLRTcsb3QP0pcLM7U6FaAnP7KhX_guUbOB9Vrz41WRYnfO-79B1SepXKVrPP4Kww/s1600/IMG_20180330_140545326.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="900" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeBknvkhvOzsCvSvnxTCZ3SaO1CoxgHTs0eH9Y_bA3tOhroKrgFs2fuew-RJ_gdcuOmM6aLFXINZ4PLRTcsb3QP0pcLM7U6FaAnP7KhX_guUbOB9Vrz41WRYnfO-79B1SepXKVrPP4Kww/s320/IMG_20180330_140545326.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I
used Icelandic worsted weigh wool called kambgarn for the blanket so
it is very warm.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I
was so happy to decommission a crappy flece blanket I was using and I want to make another blanket
for my futon matress. The pattern I´ve chosen to do is <a href="http://attic24.typepad.com/weblog/granny-stripe-blanket.html">Attic 24</a> granny stripe blanket</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">So
now I´m sitting under my blanket (wich is really colorful and
gorgeous), sipping tea and watching <a href="https://www.youtube.com/user/kirstendirksen">Kirsten Dirksen</a> videos. </span></div>

<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">Making
a choice.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">For
a while now I have been thinking of starting my own knitting and
crochet podcast.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">After
procastination and anxiety I have decided that podcasting isn´t for
me, I think it would only become something I´d dread. </span>
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<br />
</div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">So
instead I have decided to start the blog up again not that was ever a
regular thing. I think I would like to talk about my crafting,
cooking and other interests.</span></div>
<div style="line-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 0cm;">
<span style="font-size: medium;">I
think I will try to blog here once a month for start and I´ll see
how it goes.</span></div>

I´ve crocheting from 2006 and I´ve never tried to make my own pattern before.<br />

This pattern is pretty simple you need to know how to half double crochet in the 3rd loop and the herring bone stitch<br />

Wich is also a good place for my teabags and coffie grounds (wich I drink a lot of)<br />
Soon I´ll buy a bucket because I´m already on my third compost jar.<br />
When my food scraps turn into soil I´m going to give them to my mother who has been blessed with green fingers, mine are black I have even killed cactuses (yes that´s plural)<br />

I have been getting rid of all the things I have and don´t need. <br />
<br />
My goal is to have 100 - 150 thing and to not accumulate things I don´t need.<br />
And to properly clean out my basement storage space so I keep all my spare thing in my appartment.<br />
My basement is king of buried down and it really freaks me out. <br />
<br />
Now I start feeling weight lifted of me.<br />
<br />
This is pretty great.<br />
